Bryson DeChambeau Triumphs Over Jon Rahm in Playoff
Bryson DeChambeau clinched his second consecutive LIV title by defeating Jon Rahm in a playoff at LIV Golf South Africa. His victory comes ahead of the Masters tournament.

MIDRAND, South Africa -- Bryson DeChambeau secured his second consecutive victory by carding a 6-under 65 and saving par on the final hole, ultimately defeating Jon Rahm in a playoff at LIV Golf South Africa on Sunday.
This win marks DeChambeau's fifth overall title in LIV Golf, following his previous triumph in Singapore. It served as his last appearance before the upcoming Masters tournament.
As DeChambeau approached the 18th green, a large crowd began to sing the national anthem, creating an electrifying atmosphere. He needed to complete a challenging up-and-down to force a playoff with Rahm, who had shot 63, and to help his team, the Crushers, secure the team title over the Southern Guard.
DeChambeau succeeded in his attempt, finishing the tournament at 26-under 258 and earning a spot in the playoff alongside Rahm.
During the playoff, DeChambeau found himself in a difficult position after pulling his drive into muddy conditions left of the fairway. Fortunately, he received free relief, allowing him to place the ball. He then made a powerful 3-wood shot onto the green, landing it within 12 feet of the hole.
Rahm, playing from the fairway, encountered trouble when his shot landed in a bunker. Although he managed to escape and putt from just beyond 12 feet, he misread his birdie attempt. This left DeChambeau with two putts to seal the victory, though his eagle attempt came up just short.
With this win, DeChambeau becomes the third golfer to achieve at least five victories in LIV Golf, joining Joaquín Niemann, who has seven titles, and Brooks Koepka, who also has five and has returned to the PGA Tour.
